World Harvest Baptist Missions

“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” Psalm 2:8. This is the original promise that God birthed and burned within our heart back in the early 2000’s. The Lord had sent me to Albania on a missions trip in 1994. It was then and there the Lord put the burden and call in my ministry for the country of Albania in Eastern Europe. Through the latter half of Romans chapter 15, the Lord instructed me to wait on His timing to carry the gospel into Albania.

World Harvest Baptist Missions was originally Albania Baptist missions. In the mid 2000’s we began carrying the gospel into the country of Albania. Our heart was to bring young preachers and godly pastors into the country, praying that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into his harvest. As the Lord began to call young preachers, and stir good pastors with the burden, we formed the Albania Baptist Missions. Since that time, several other missionaries called to other countries, have approached us and requested to join our board. And so we then expanded into the World Harvest Baptist Missions.

We are a local church ministry. Working through the authority of the pastor and the structure of the home church, we have deliberately not incorporated or organized into a legal entity, involving officers and trustees. World Harvest Baptist Missions is truly a local church ministry, offering a network of support and a safety net of helps, for the missionary. I am not necessarily against large, organized mission boards, this is just simply the route He sent us down for our mission work.

World Harvest Baptist Missions operates through the evangelists and the pastors of the local church. Ephesians 4:12-13, He gave “…evangelists, and pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” And so World Harvest Baptist Missions, operating with the local church evangelist’s and pastor’s, is earnestly praying that God will use us to help gospel preachers go into the fields where ever they’re called, across the world. Working together in a divinely knit network, we desire to help our missionaries in whatever area and to whatever extent, they need help.
Proverbs 10:5 has weighed heavily on my heart for many years now, as we look on the 7 billion people in our generation. “He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.”
